As days go by, Blackbriar shows in Greece are approaching…But who is “Blackbriar”?
“ Blackbriar is a Dutch alternative metal band from Assen. They have released three albums, four EPs, six singles, twelve official music videos, one official lyric video and four acoustic live videos. In October 2019, Blackbriar joined Epica as official support during their Design Your Universe 10th Anniversary Tour.” (Source Wikipedia)
I personally, discovered BLACKBRIAR by clicking on their music video “Arms of the Ocean” on YouTube, charmed by the kind of witchy thumbnail and instantly fell in love. The siren vocals along with the heavy riffs was something magical. “I’d rather burn” is also one of my favourites of them, that kept me company during the Corona Virus quarantine. Also a song that I enjoyed singing by myself at home a lot trying to practice my vocals during that difficult era of everyone’s lives. “Until Eternity” is a beautiful classic of them and “Snow white and Rose Red” which refers to the homonym fairytale, has a special place in my heart, as I decided to even name pets after this one.
We have been waiting for Blackbriar for a very long time to visit Greece and finally the time has come.
The band will visit Greece for two shows for the “A Thousand Little Deaths” Tour , one will take place in Thessaloniki on the 22nd of September at Eighthball and the second one in Athens, on Wednesday 23rd of September, 2026 at Fuzz Club.
