HEAVY METAL SATAN: KAMELOT : Concert Review by SATAN Himself! "The Awakening"

On May 5,2023 the legendary band KAMELOT played in the city of the Myths and Lengends,in Athens,Greece and I had the luck to witness and take photos of the ritual.So I grabbed my old and broken camera,as this show was my first time taking photos at a concert.I thought to myself,I am going to write a review about it anyway,I've been working with photographers for about a decade as a model and I am a photographer myself for about five years.Maybe I should stop taking just photos of myself,there are other people out there,too! And,as I was very pessimistic about the results,I took with me the old and broken equipment and now I scream my ass out,cause photos turned out fabulous.KAMELOT were fabulous in every way-let's talk a bit about the band,enough with the self monologue,what can I do,I don't have friends,so I am telling you.It rhymed.Very well.10 out of 10.Let's go! Kamelot.

As I walked in the Fuzz club,there was a chill mood and a friendly atmosphere.I've been there once before,when Septic Flesh and Hypocrisy were playng live.Grabbed a beer and went fast to the front,as the time was near,soon the Silent Rage would open the show with their playful attitude and their great high notes that broke the ice.

Laughed a lot when someone started yelling to the singer "Ela ksaderfe!" which means"Come on cousin!" in greek.And yes I can speak greek,people have asked me more times in my life if I speak greek,than what's my name.What can I say about this band?Cheerful guys,with their greek temperament plaaying well.It was fun.And then...

Just like the wind,Kamelot entered the stage cheering up the croud.This croud was so warm,Kamelot Greek Fun Club Was there,too,in the front row with their flag.The croud was so loud that the band was trying to make them chill a little bit sometimes so they coul play and they made jokes like "We should be coming back to Athens every six months!".But come on!The reason why the croud got crazy,was the beautiful angelic vocals that gave me chills.Oh my sweet Heavy Metal Satan,especially on the "Song for Jolee".During this song we were aked by Tommy to hold our phones in the air like lighters and the moment was magical.

Appart from the good music and the great showmanship,I loved the vibes.Good vibes and good energy is something that always matters a lot to me.A part of the show is to feel you belong somewhere,that you belong there,because as metalheads we are a family and we feel good and safe when we are at a concert.We feel like home.And Kamelot is a band that gave me that feeling.As a foreigner in Greece I like the place,but it is not home.And Kamelot made it,they made me feel like home while they were playing.Very important.I can sit down here and write you about the setlist,coment on every song separately.But I won't.It doesn't matter.When I go to a show I don't look at the details.I catch the feeling.I can only to convey the feeling to you.And it felt good.

It was the first time seeing Kamelot performing live,but not my last one for sure.I saw an enegetic bass player that my eyes could not catch as he was moving fast on the stage,leting the croud play with his bass at the end of the show-brave man,haha-mister Sean C Tibbetts.I can say the same about the talented Kamelot Founder Thomas Youngblood.We also enjoyed Alex Landenburg's drum solo,a pleasant surprise.I already talked about Tommy Karevik's enchanting vocals while he was singing with the beautiful and talented vocalist Melissa Bonny-I saw a guy jumping on an other guy's back just to see her better.Protect her at all costs.And for the end one of the most important for a symphonic metal band,the keyboarder.Mister Oliver Palotai.What else can I say?Support the bands you love!Go buy the new album "The Awakening",buy tickets for their shows,buy Official Merch,so that our favourite bands can survive and keep going!
