(LIVE REPORT IN GREEK + ENGLISH AND PHOTOS FROM THE EVENT)
Στις 15 Ιουνίου (2024) είχαμε την ευχαρίστηση να είμαστε καλεσμένοι στο live reunion των Σουηδών Scheitan, οι οποίοι γιόρτασαν την κυκλοφορία του νέου τους άλμπουμ στην Ελλάδα μαζί με τους Έλληνες Opened Paradise και Reflection Black.
Μπαίνοντας στο Temple συναντήσαμε τα άτομα στην υποδοχή τα οποία ήταν πολύ ευχάριστα και εξυπηρετικά. Ο κόσμος καλός, ευδιάθετος και μπαίνεις επιτέλους σε ένα μαγαζί στο Γκάζι που κανένας δεν σε κοιτάει περίεργα, σέβονται τους γύρω τους και όλοι έχουν έρθει για να διασκεδάσουν. Βάζουμε τικ,Temple, από τα καλά μαγαζιά στη Αθήνα, γιατί είχαμε διαβάσει ανάμεικτες κριτικές πριν πάμε, οι οποίες δεν στέκουν. Σαν πρώτη μου φορά στο χώρο, μου έκανε μεγάλη εντύπωση η καθαριότητα, πρώτη φορά μπαίνω σε μπαρ και μυρίζει καθαριότητα και ήθελα να το γράψω. Τρέλα . Όλα καλά, τίποτα αρνητικο, η ατμόσφαιρα ευχάριστη, το live ξεκίνησε με το πρώτο act, το goth rock/post punk/darkwave σχήμα, Reflection Black. Ευχάριστο ξεκίνημα, ο κόσμος αρχισε σιγά σιγά να μαζεύεται και μας έβαλαν στο κλίμα με τον εκλεπτυσμένο, σκοτεινό, εναλλακτικό ηχο του Elis Alex (δημιουργού του σχήματος).

Αφού το πρώτο act μας έκανε να κουνηθούμε και να επιδείξουμε τις φοβερές και τρομερές χορευτικές μας κινήσεις στο dancefloor και μερικές μπύρες αργότερα υποδεχθήκαμε τη δεύτερη μπάντα, τους Opened Paradise (Occult Gothic Metal από την Αθήνα). Μας άρεσαν. Ικανοί μουσικοί, όπως και οι πρώτοι, πιο σκληρός ήχος, πιο μπρουτάλ φωνητικά (μας αρέσει αυτό), καλή σκηνική παρουσία, το νιώσαμε, είχε συναίσθημα και ήταν και μεταλ το act, πολύ ωραία, πολύ ωραία. Η μπάντα παρευρέθηκε στο event καθώς αυτή την περίοδο βρίσκονται στη διαδικασία προώθησης του τελευταίου τους άλμπουμ "Eclipse" (2022).

Δίχως καθυστέρηση το κοινο υποδέχτηκε τους Σουηδούς. Λίγα λογια για την μπάντα "Οι Scheitan δημιουργήθηκαν το 1996 από τους Pierre Törnkvist και Oscar Karlsson. Στο ντεμπούτο άλμπουμ του συγκροτήματος "Travelling in Ancient Times" (Invasion Records) η μουσική ήταν σκληρή και ακατέργαστη black metal. Αλλά ήδη στο τελευταίο κομμάτι του ντεμπούτου άλμπουμ, "Portals of might", υπήρχαν ίχνη μουσικής αλλαγής."

Οι Scheitan έπαιξαν για πρώτη φορα για το Ελληνικο κοινο κομμάτια από το νέο τους δίσκο "Songs For The Gothic People", παλιότερα κομμάτια τους, αλλά και μερικές διασκευές (some 69eyes for our pleasure). Μερικά από τα τραγούδια που ακούσαμε στο live ήταν τα ολοκαίνουρια "Last Time" και "Lost in Time". Επίσης είχαμε την τιμή, μετά από μια σύντομη "ψηφοφορία" να μας παίξουν ένα τραγούδι με τον παλιο "screamy" τρόπο (κερδίσανε τα πιο πολλά χεράκια στον αέρα). Και κάπως έτσι συνεχίστηκε η βραδια και με πολύ χορο, ένα live με πολύ καλά vibes έφτασε στο τέλος του. Να ευχηθούμε καλή τύχη στους Scheitan όσον αφορά το νέο τους άλμπουμ και να τους δουμε ξανά σύντομα στην Ελλάδα!

ENGLISH
On June 15 (2024) we had the pleasure of being invited to the live reunion of the Swedes Scheitan, who celebrated the release of their new album in Greece together with the Greeks Opened Paradise and Reflection Black.
Arriving at the Temple we met the people working at the entrance who were very pleasant and helpful. The people there are good, cheerful and finally you enter a bar in Gazi where no one gives you the strange look, they are respectful and everyone has come to have fun. So tick, Temple, one of the good venues in Athens, because we had read mixed reviews before we got there, which are proved false.As it was my first time in this venue, I was very impressed by the cleanliness, it's the first time I enter a bar and it smells clean and I wanted to write it down. Madness. All good, nothing negative, the atmosphere is pleasant, the live started with the first act, the goth rock/post punk/darkwave Reflection Black. Pleasant start, the crowd slowly started to gather and we were put in the mood with the sophisticated, dark, alternative sound of Elis Alex (creator of the act).
After the first act we rocked and showed off our great and awesome dance moves on the dancefloor and a few beers later we welcomed the second band, Opened Paradise (Occult Gothic Metal from Athens). We liked them. Competent musicians, just like the first ones, harder sound, more brutal vocals (we like that), good stage presence, we felt it, it had emotion and it was also a metal act, very nice, very nice. The band attended the event as this period is in the process of promoting their latest album "Eclipse" (2022).
Without any delay the audience welcomed the Swedes. A few words about the band "Scheitan were formed in 1996 by Pierre Törnkvist and Oscar Karlsson. In the band's debut "Travelling in Ancient Times" (Invasion Records) the music was hard and raw black metal.But already in the last track of the album, "Portals of might", there are traces of musical change."
Scheitan played for the Greek audience and for the first time worldwide, songs from their new album "Songs For The Gothic People",some of their older tracks, but also some covers(they played some 69eyes for us).Some of the songs we heard live were the brand new "Last Time" and "Lost in Time''. We also had the honor, after a short "voting" to have Scheitan play a song in the old "screamy" way (the most hands in the air won). And that's how the evening continued and with a lot of dancing, a live with very good vibes came to an end. Let's wish Scheitan the best of luck with their new album and we wish to see them again in Greece soon!
As we say in Sweden, "Slut" ("The End").
